From there, I headed northeast, skirting past the Minor Erdtree, and soon the tower's silhouette came into view. A word of caution—a formidable Troll Knight stands guard outside. I learned the hard way that it's best to either engage carefully or slip past him.

Upon entering the dim interior, the puzzle presented itself immediately. A solemn statue dominated the central chamber, with a cryptic message at its base: “May erudition light the way!” This was my first clue. The game wasn't asking for brute force; it was asking for scholarly insight. This message directly hinted at two requirements: a specific gesture and a piece of enchanted headwear. The Scholar's Quest: Thops's Erudition

  1. The First Key: This key is guarded by the fearsome Glintstone Dragon Smarag, lurking just west of the academy grounds. You can choose to battle the dragon or employ a stealthier approach to snatch the key.

  2. The Crucial Second Key: Here's the important part—Thops will not accept the first key. You must procure a second one. I found it inside the academy itself, on a corpse chillingly suspended from the ceiling in the Church of the Cuckoo.

The most notable find was the exceedingly rare Miquella's Lily, a precious resource for any Tarnished alchemist.
